Post Workout Recovery

After a workout I think to myself what does my body need? My answer is carbohydrates and protein!
Carbohydrates are needed to replenish the glycogen stores in your muscles and liver. Protein is necessary to repair and nourish muscles.

This green shake is great for replenishing your body post workout.

8 oz Water
1 Scoop Vanilla Soy Protein powder (right now I am using Whole foods 365 vanilla soy)
1 Tbs Very Green (from Trader Joes)
1 Banana
1/2 Medium Avocado
2 Tbs Chia Seeds

Blend all ingredients

Depending the activity, time of day, and my schedule will effect the components of my recovery drinks or meals. All products mentioned are products that I use. I do not have sponsorship by any brands mentioned.
